don't ever take life forgranted.
Omigoodness, Omigoodness.
First of all, I want to say that LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I want to thank Lord Jesus Almighty that I am alive and breathing!!!
Notice the elaborate extension of those apostrophes**
Too many times, I see people not living life to the fullest. Why? Because their little scaredy cats and want to stick with what’s comfortable. What’s easy. But don’t. I’m here to tell you that you weren’t made to be “average,” “ordinary,” and to just “get by.” You were made to excel, to be the best you that you can be. No bullshit, I’m talking real talk right now.
Today I had a miracle happen. Something that reinforced this idea that life should be lived to the fullest: I got in a car collision, and when I was in the car looking at my bumper being thrown on the freeway, I realized something very, very simple that we often overlook: Life is fragile. And as I was sitting in the fire truck looking at the ambulance I thought to myself, “Why?” Not only “Why” to the fact that I was in a car accident, but “Why did it take a car accident for me to realize that life is fragile?”
People always look at what’s wrong: Why did I fail that class? Why am I broke? Why am I fat?
How about you look at what’s right and start being thankful for that: Thank you I have parents who care enough about me to pay for my education. I may not have all the money in the world, but thank you that I have my health and great friends who are worth more than gold. Thank you that I don’t have to worry about whether or not there’s food on the table today.
Everything happens for a reason and I could use this time right now to cry about not having my car anymore or I could use this moment to propel me to the realization that every day is a gift. Every day is a gift. Life can change in the blink of an eye so please don’t ever take it for granted.
Don’t ever think today is just a “regular” day because it’s not! It’s time that could be used to help your mom with the groceries, time to tell her “I really appreciate you and what you do for me every day. I love you, mommy!”, time to encourage someone that you believe in them, time to call someone up and say “I’m sorry about what I said last night. You’re not fat. You’re the greatest friend I could possibly have. I blame it on the Henny.”
Me typing this? It’s a gift. The fact that you can read and understand what I’m typing? It’s a gift.
Let me ask you a question. When was the last time you were the best friend you could possibly be? The last time you told your parents, “I can’t believe I’m so blessed to have you as parents, thank you for doing what you do every day to provide for me”? Or the last time you told your friend, "Hey, you’re beautiful and amazing. And I'm blessed to call you my friend"? Ok. wellllllllllllllllllllllllllll- the time is now!!
Damn. I wish somebody is paying attention to what I’m saying right now because this is forreal!
I want you to promise me that from now on, you will never, ever take a moment for granted. Never ever waste energy on any hate, resentment, or “poor me” mentality because life is too short to be carrying a loser-mentality. And if you promise this to me, I promise that I will be the best friend that I could be to you. I got your back like chiropractor! ALWAYS.
Life your life to the fullest! Look at your palms right now. You see all those lines? Those are all the lines of your parents and ancestors whose journeys have been taken so that you would be able to dream and do anything.
Before I started driving I prayed: "Please Lord let me be safe, and be with me." And when I saw my car completely tore up, it just hit me. I am safe, I wasn’t hurt. Not because I was lucky but because the Lord was listening to me. I know some of you don’t believe in “Jesus” or “God” but I’m telling you that this world isn’t all there is to life. It’s not. The sun shining, the fact you got up this morning, those things aren’t accidents, those are God’s way of saying, “Wake up sunshine, I want you to be great today. Are you ready?”
P.S. You’re beautiful and amazing. And I'm blessed to call you my friend.
P.S.S. I love my mommy, she just told me that my next car will be a Ferrari.

#29
i don't know if your aware of this but the whole month of June is actually Latin for "celebration of Elainne's birth"
[This is a birthday storytime exclusively made for my blog entry, so enjoy the moment! And also a special shout-out to Darlene and Paula who made my day extra special for not only hollering at me via blog but also for that chocolate ;) ]

Once upon a time, there was a birthday girl (gangster translation: birfday guuuurl) and she was happy because it was her day. :) She celebrated back in her area (gangster translation: her hood) a la 818 (stand up),

shopping in Melrose where her sister bought her sunglasses (gangster translation: stunna shades) that would later come in handy for a beach photoshoot (oh dang), she was asked to give "attitude" to the camera but this was odd

Considering she always makes it rain.. (LOL)

She visited her favorite bakery in all of the land Portos, getting some red-velvet cupcakes that changed her life. Sprinkles what?

Later, hollering for a quick minute at Goofy at Disneyland.

But most importantly! She spented the day with people she loved <3 YAY!

THE END!
P.S. Speaking of Goofy, I decided I want a basset hound. Don't they remind you of a grandpa? LOL
