As i sit here, with the dreary weather looking at me outside the window, blasting Skewby's Sunny on my speakers, I am truly amazed at how fast this year has gone. Looking at my year long photos of Philippines, of California, of my friends, of moments that made me smile, I'm grateful for such wonderful experiences and I know this is only the beginning of my journey to greatness. teehee
2010 has been a year of learning, of growing, of expanding my horizons, of becoming a better me and im truly grateful for every moment i've experienced. Even through all my struggles, I know that i came out stronger at the other end, and thats the only thing I would expect from myself. When you begin to expect the best out of yourself, thats what your going to get, so keep your perspective elevated. I want to apply what I've learned in this year to better equip me for my new dreams in 2011. So in retrospect I'd like to share all the important lessons, events that I learned. Its difficult to condense the experiences of a Princess Hustla but because I'm feelin' ambition I'll break it down:
1) real G's appreciate.
true story. it's easy to grow comfortable and take things and people forgranted. sometimes, you just assume that they know how you feel, or that you're grateful for their presence in their life-- but only when that person leaves, do you ever begin to fully appreciate what they mean to you. you have to appreciate what you have at hand first before you can ever begin to expect new blessings in your life.
2) be so good, they can't ignore you.
3) spit truth to power.
4) don't try harder, do harder.
5) work is a form of love.
6) hustlas don't look at the problem, they look at the solution.
7) no fear, just swag.
8) travel is the best life teacher.
9) if it ain't gleamin' keep it movin.
10) love is a verb.
11) theres ain't nothing to do with yours
12) the energy of your mind is the essence of life
