Touching down in Los Angeles from a two-week enlightening experience in Manila, I begin to touch things with a purpose now. Being a second-generation Filipina reminds me of how much I have to learn about my culture and my peoples. If the second generation's richness of culture is already diluted, how much more for the children of this generation. I feel the more you cultivate your roots, the stronger and more dynamic individual you'll become.
